It’s finally happened folks, the hear “Hello” to XOLO X900, the world’s first Smartphone with Intel Inside.

It’s finally happened folks, the heart of your computer shall now beat inside your smart-phone. On April 23rd, Intel and India-based Lava International announced the general availability of the XOLO X900, built around the Intel Atom Z2460 processor, one of the company’s chips under the Medfield label.
It’s a single-core 1.6GHz design and boasts of Intel’s proprietary “Hyper Threading Technology,” which improves multi-tasking performance. It is the first Intel powered smartphone consumers will be able to get their hands on, not only in Asia, but in the world.
At launch, the X900 will run on Android Gingerbread, but an over-the-air software upgrade to Android's Ice Cream Sandwich is planned shortly.
Lava also announced a partnership with Croma, a national Indian chain of megastores, which will sell the X900. The phone has since then become available on various online portals including Flipkart. In addition to the 1.6GHz Atom processor, the phone comes equipped with a 400MHz graphics chip, which provides an extremely smooth and immersive gaming experience.
The phone has a rear 8-megapixel camera which features a burst mode that snaps 10 photos per second, and is capable of 1080p HD video encoding and playback. It is complemented by a front facing 1.3 mega-pixel camera. The phone also boasts of HSPA+ 3G connectivity, and a 4.03-inch high-resolution LCD touch screen for crisp text and vibrant images.
The most striking thing about all this is that although the phone is so fast and powerful, it still has great battery life – up to 5 hours of 3G browsing, 45 hours of audio and 8 hours of talk time.
The phone was launched with the slogan of “Blink and it’s Done”, introducing to the Indian market a device that addresses the needs of people for whom speed and performance is of paramount importance. In the blink of an eye, the phone flows seamlessly from one functionality to the other without wasting a moment. It allows fast browsing, seamless and smooth HD video recording and playback and an unmatched gaming experience.

In conclusion, the device not only showcases the rich capabilities and user benefits of Intel computing, but also highlights the exciting possibilities of what’s still to come. Pioneers in any field have shown the way to others, and it seems the XOLO X900 is set to play a similar role.
